We are adaptable to every cuisine and create specific menus for each individual event. We have planned events to the size of indoor professional football pregame & halftime shows in Colorado Springs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Chef for a Day Catering™ will meet with the customer at the venue where the event will be held. We will inspect the kitchen which is going to be used to ensure it’s large enough to serve the amount of guests attending the event. Chef Frank Helisek will then go over the type of menu the client wants, discuss any entertainment which is needed for the event, and draw up a contract/invoice for the customer. Please contact us.

Chef Frank Helisek has been in the culinary industry for over 35 years and worked under great chefs around the country and in Korea.

Chef for a Day Catering™ creates a pricing system per event depending upon Services Needed, Menus selected and entertainment required. Every individual event will always have a different price considering all of the services we offer.
How did you get started in this business?
Chef for a Day Catering™ began in 2002 after closing the restaurant and following a passion for food that has lasted 35 years. Chef Frank Helisek has worked with celebrities, major corporations like Google and musicians for 35 years to create events all over the country.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Chef for a Day Catering™ has done tailgate parties for Google, realtor.com and several other corporations in Pittsburgh. We have also cooked for Brad Paisley & Luke Bryant backstage at a concert. We have done catering for galas for the Psychiatric Analysis Foundation and the Sewickley Heights History Center.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Chef for a Day Catering™ would advise customers to communicate fully on everything that they want for their event. No question is a silly question in the culinary industry and we strive to make our jobs the most delicious and exciting events in the city.
