- How did you get started in this type of work.
I first picked up a camera in 1982 out of curiosity. My father would always walk around snapping Polaroids at special events just for his own keepsake. Oh my life I’ve always been a gadget person so I took interest because of the buttons they were on the cameras the way that the pictures turned out were very interesting to me so I started taking pictures on construction sites. Then I moved to taking pictures of people on the street they would pose for me. I’ve also done music groups music celebrities and just built up my knowledge from there. I have an associates degree in advertising Photography.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to understand what he does for a living. How to do that is by going with the basics finding out what his tools are and see if those two is good enough for you and what you’re trying to accomplish. I have been hired by photographers to complete projects that they have put on. Whether it’s a wedding a photo booth or even a fashion show. RE Thacker photography gets the jibe done.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project.
Customers have to remember there are no dumb questions. If you don’t know you have to ask questions so that you would now. It’s always great to make notes of the questions that you have asked and what that person has answered. It’s always good to understand and know what the professional is worth looking at his work seeing the creativity that he brings to the table, and also the experience.
