About
I love making photography FUN; everything from getting my client to smile at a joke to having a baby laugh at my expressions. WHAT AN AMAZING JOB!!! I have been shooting professionally for 30 years with a client list that includes politicians, celebrities, royalty, and then some... I have worked all over the country, as well as several places outside the US, photographing weddings, corporate events, parties, and portraiture.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally, contact via phone or text... Then, if possible, we meet in person and discuss their photography needs. From that, I can estimate how long they will need me and we can come up with a price that fits their budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 plus years of experience, working at the White House, the Pentagon, fortune 500 companies, dozens of magazines... Countless trade shows and workshops, and hours upon hours of working with other amazing photographers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Depends on the event! I have an hourly pricing and a daily pricing...
How did you get started in this business?
Santa photos in the mall... That is where it all started! :) And then on to Picture People and Olan Mills, as well as a few other companies, until I felt confident enough to step out on my own!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Everyone from families to CEOs to royalty to celebrities to politicians...
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just did a Christmas party for a corpration. They were so much fun and so delightful to work with. I have never met a stranger when I have my camera in hand.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
SO many things... 1) The more they have shot, the better they are! 2) Look for someone that can direct, pose, and communitcate with you. 3) Someone that can step out of the box to get creative and have fun. 4) Experience is everything - it makes your photographer confident they can handle any situation.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1) I know it's kinda weird, ask them about their equipment and if they have back up gear. Nowadays, people pick up a cell phone and "POOF" they are a photographer. 2) How many events, weddings, portraiture sessions have they had? Experience is HUGE in this business. 3) Ask your photographer about a timeline. Odds are, they have done a lot more events than you have and can probably make a few great suggestions.
