Mark Matson Photography

For more than twenty years, I have been a freelance photographer in Austin, Texas, specializing in editorial and commercial photography. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with many great clients, and interesting subjects. As a regular contributor to the Austin American-Statesman, I have helped to document the history of Austin. Additionally, my work has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, USA TODAY, Houston Chronicle and the Los Angeles Times.

In addition to my editorial photography, I have have worked with many national and local businesses and non-profit organizations. Commercial clients include Farmers Insurance, The USO, WellMed, CommUnity Care and Rodeo Austin. Together, we have produced annual reports, head shots, and event coverage.
