About
Werks N’ Wonderzs wasn’t born in a fancy culinary school or a high-end restaurant. It was born in a home where family came first, where making something out of nothing wasn’t just a saying—it was a way of life.
Growing up in a Black household, the kitchen was more than a place to cook. It was where lessons were taught, love was shown, and memories were made. As a young boy, I watched my mother work hard to make sure we had everything we needed. When she needed help, I stepped into the kitchen—not because I had to, but because family takes care of family.
What started as helping cook for my siblings became a passion. Every meal taught me something new. Every mistake became another lesson. Every plate I served was another step toward perfecting my craft.
As I became a man and started my own family, that same passion followed me. I found joy in cooking for my children, creating memories around the dinner table just like the ones that shaped me. That’s when I realized food wasn’t just about feeding people—it was about bringing them together.
Years of learning, experimenting, and refining recipes led to the birth of Werks N’ Wonderzs in 2020.
