Steve Perry has been a freelance photographer since 2000, starting with film cameras, where you can not guarantee a shot, and transitioning into digital cameras where I can guarantee my photography work before even leaving the location or studio.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost, I always provide free consultation on any upcoming photography project. This is where I am able to gather all the information necessary to understand 100% what the customer desires, and we discuss the best means to go about accomplishing this together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My formal photography training comes from actual experience. While I attended photography classes in High School, I had a natural ability to see/understand light how the camera captures it and continued the process throughout the years at the end of the era of film transitioning into digital. Additionally, I spent several years learning every aspect of photography from pros and hobbiest alike while working at Wolf & Ritz Camera. While working there, not only did I learn from the experience of others and questioning professionals, I also learned more about how film and prints are developed to increase my overall understanding of the film. All of this accumulated in 2009 with my first nationwide publication happened, and become published annually for the next several years until time in which I opted to step back from large work and focus on more creative and family oriented art.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system for my services as I feel these can be restrictive and hinder the flow of creating a priceless memory. I completely customize every package to the needs of each individual customer.
How did you get started in this business?
I first started in photography as a hobby because I was always passionate about capturing moments in time forever, and I was asked by friends and family to capture celebrations and eventually weddings. From there, based on feed back, I grew my business and expanding what services I offer as a photographer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with customers from all walks of life. From Charity based organizations and familys that have no income to spare all the way to clothing manufacturers and television studios. Because of the passion I have for photography in general, and the understanding of how priceless a single photo can be to an individual, I strive to be able to capture what is needed and another reason why I customize all of my packages to each individual customer.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I always recommend whenever looking for an expert in a field, look at their past work. In photography, that means looking at their portfolio and seeing how they have capture images in the past. In some portfolios, you can see the natural progression of the experience when comparing new photos to older photos, and vice versa. If you have any doubt about an expert when looking at their work, I would say talk with them about your concerns and without a doubt, check out other experts until you find the one that will work for you.
