How did you get started in this business?
I started doing hair at 10years old when a family member bought my first doll. From there is started working in the salon with my aunt at the age of 14. Became licensed in 2018.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Knowing what you want and don't want saves time. Agreeing on what works for you is not the same as something you may have as an idea, so be open.
I work with diverse clients and communication is key to a successful service as well as awareness on the clients end.
The first appointment is usually the roughest because I'm learning about you and your preferences.
(Give grace please)
Personal in-homes services are a daunting task and safety is always a top priority when providing any service.
No question is dumb, nor can you as too many.
Have the time; book home services with added time so stylist is not rushed and uncomfortable. Setting up in a home is not the same as being in a salon where things are arranged ergonomically.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Travel distance
Time
Prepping
Clean and functional working area in home
Enviromental dangers ( any extra guests, comfort of service provider, around extra house guest/company)
Language; unlawful extra curricular activities.
