About
Ivette has had makeup brushes in hand professionally for the past 15 years. She received her formal training at Face to Face Beauty & Make-up Design School in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduating top of her class and receiving the award for Make-up Artist of the Year.
Ivette started her US career with MAC Cosmetics and the Estee Lauder Brand in New York City. She holds several certifications including Cosmetic Make-up through City & Guilds London and Makeup Artistry through the Institute of Practitioners in Therapy International to name but a few. Ivette aims to stay on the cutting edge of trends in the makeup and beauty industries through professional development and brings her passion and skill to every client, every job, every time!
I love bringing out each clients true beauty potential while staying true to who they are and what makes them unique. My goal is for you to be recognized for the beauty you are, not for the makeup you're wearing. Makeup truly is an art form and I love to educate each client while we go through the transformation process together.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with a consultation to get an idea of what the client wants and their personality. Makeup is a very personal choice so it's important for me to get a sense of the client as a person to gauge their comfort level and needs, as well as any skin concerns, sensitivities, or allergies.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my formal training at Face to Face Beauty & Make-up Design School, graduating top of my class and receiving the award for Make-up Artist of the Year.
I'm also certified by City & Guilds London; Institute of Practitioners in Therapy International (IPTI); I.T.E.C; Comité International D'esthetique et de Cosmétologie; National Cosmetology Association (NCA); and a certified makeup artist through the American Cancer Society, a member of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and a certified Image Consultant through the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI).

How did you get started in this business?
My background is in Fine Arts and I received my degree in Fashion Design. After working for a designer and several runway shows I realized what I enjoyed most was working backstage with the models so I added hair and makeup to my repertoire.
For nearly a decade I worked as a Fashion Stylist in South Africa and NYC.
