About
I pay special attention to lighting, posing, the background, mood and comfortability of my clients to ensure great shots. I have done sports photos in the rain to have unique shots. I had the privilege of being the only photographer to have a photo purchased among a stock photography contest with 1500 photo candidates. Portrait photography is my specialty and I enjoy meeting people and making connections. I enjoy the process of getting the perfect photo. I enjoy doing great work for my clients!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to talk with customers to establish their needs and preferences. Then I discuss and determine what equipment or props would be necessary, go through location options and finally other aspects like wardrobe and time of day for the shoot to ensure the best shoot possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended workshops and self-studied lighting and posing. I have training in a variety of software types, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Camera Raw, editing, retouching, studio lighting, DSLR and mirrorless camera usage, as well as social media marketing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes! In general, my pricing starts at $150, and then goes up depending on number of hours and whether or not the shoot requires a photography studio.
How did you get started in this business?
I began by just taking photos because I enjoyed it! Family and friends events, scenery, etc. Then in 2018, I started attending Instagram photographer/model meetups and retouching and posting to Instagram. I enjoyed the photoshoots and editing so much that later that year I started Brian Balloon Photography.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with individuals, families (including children), models, company employees, entrepreneurs and creatives to name a few.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
As one example of many, I did an engagement shoot with a couple and enjoyed finding spots around the venue to showcase their love and then keeping the purpose of it under wraps until he popped the question!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Most important is that you and your photographer gel with each other on your idea and compliment each other, and that you like their photography style and edits, as most pictures you get will reflect that style unless otherwise requested by you. I am kind, creative and a little adventurous to work with, so most everyone enjoys working with me!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Is it an indoor or outdoor event? How many hours is the shoot? Would you like prints or only digitals? Can the shoot be done during golden hour to take advantage of the best light? What is the expected turnaround time to get the photos back?
