Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for a customer is first a consultation; what service(s) do you want done? Are you suffering from excessive breakage, heat or color damage? Are you relaxed, natural, or transitioning? Do you have any medical conditions, skin/scalp conditions, are you taking certain medications etc. What's your budget? What's your expectation, and we'll work from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended beauty school at CEI in Atlanta Georgia 2010. I have studied all the latest hair and makeup techniques from the best in the industry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Most of my hair services start at $100 minimum. I do however provide occasional specials, as well as referral discount opportunities. A deposit of 25% of the desired style is required to book. Makeup services start at $60 minimum unless you book at group rate, (bridal parties, photoshoots, fashion shows etc)
How did you get started in this business?
It has always been a passion of mines since childhood. I've been doing hair since 8 years old and am now 31.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with celebrities, magazines, and local clientele.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they know what they're doing, don't be afraid to ask questions.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I'd say for hair clientele, are your expectations realistic? Thats most important.
