About
I have a keen vision for putting flavors and dishes together. I've been in the food industry cooking and managing kitchens for 13+ years. I realized my passion when I took time off and worked other jobs. I would come home late night and stay up all hours of the morning cooking meals. I created this company to provide a magical experience for each customer. To see the smiles on each individual's face as they eat gives me the motivation to keep going and developing new ideas. I've worked for Grain Rooftop Beer Garden in Norfolk along side some of the leading chefs in Hampton Roads. We've taken 3 restaurants to the top 5 restaurants in the city of Norfolk. I assisted with hosting the James Beard Dinner at the Hilton Main Norfolk in 2019. My IG is @cookingwithChefGB where you can find some of my work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once contacted, we figure out the needs. I then create a menu and terms. If customer agrees we move forward.

How did you get started in this business?
As a child I would sit in the kitchen with my grandmother and mom as they cooked meals. Seeing the love they put into these meals were amazing. I would then sit and watch cooking shows and learn different techniques. As I got older I found myself watching videos and teaching myself how to put these flavors together. I started working in kitchens and never looked back.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've catered sweet 16 parties, wedding anniversary date night, retirement parties, as well as navy events.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my favorite events would be a going away party. The client was getting deployed. Her friends put together a special night for her. Upon arriving to cook, I could see the love they took to make this night magical. Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces that night as they ate was amazing. You could tell it was good because the room had fell silent as they ate and went for seconds.
