I am the owner and lead photographer of Perfectly Candid Photography. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and now I reside in Richmond, VA.
I have been takin pictures since I can remember, with my Grandma, which started back with disposable and polaroid cameras. I have always loved catching candid pictures of family and friends over the years. I love capturing the moment and having that picture that will last forever.
When I do not have a camera in my hand, you will find me loving on my family or behind the computer. I graduated from Towson University with a B.S. in Information Technology and stayed to get my M.S. in Applied Information Technology.
I was ready to stop sitting on my gift and put it to use, that is where Perfectly Candid Photography came about.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically have a email or 15 min zoom call. Whichever is easier so that pricing is discussed and time/date can be verified.

How did you get started in this business?
It all started as a hobby, then turned into something that I loved doing. I was always the friend who loves taking pictures at every event and finally started to use my gift in an actual business.

Recently loved photographing food photography with a chef.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Communication is the key! We do not like assuming what you like, so expressing that up front is best. Also, allow the photographer to use their creative eye as well. Be open! Also, if you like golden hour photos, so do I!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are some poses that you like/want in your sessions. Ask any question you can think of before our session or during our session so you can get all that you would like.
