About
What my clients love about me is my colaborative approach both before and during our sessions as well as my ability to let them relax and have a great time in front of the camera. And, most importatnly, they love the results!
I've been in business since 1999 but began my photography well before that, creating concert images of bands like Queen, CSN, Genesis, etc. in New York, London, and L.A. I've been based in Seattle since 1994 creating images for businesses of all sizes, families, high school seniors, real estate agents and, of course, musicians!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a phone call or meeting so I can ask some key questions about your needs in order to be prepared for our saession day. I'll also provide you with information about cothing, hair, makeup, etc. to help you get ready. If I'm working with a business we'll speak with your creative team to make sure our project plan is in place and all the details are covered; locations, subjects, objectives, budget, etc.
Session day is very collaborative and a great time!
A short time after the session is image review. For private commissions we review the images together and select the ones you'd like for retouching and printing.
For businesses, image review can be handled in a number of different ways; in person review, file uploads, etc., depending on your requirements for delivery.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm mostly self-educated in photography but have studied in seminars with some of the best and most well regarded professionals in the industry. I continue to educate myself in both photographic technique and business/marketing trends to insure I can provide the best service possible to my clients.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For private clients, pricing is broken into two parts.
1. I offer one, two, and three hour sessions. Depending on requirements, we'll select the session that's right for you.
2. After your session you'll select the images for retoching and printing. You will also receive web ready digital files of the printed images. You may select from a package or order a la carte. There is no minimum purchase.
Headshots: Packages begin at $325 and include a thirty to forty minute session and a full retouching on the image of your choice. Additional images are available for an extra retouching fee.
Corporate/Business: Once we've set the project scope and estimate wil be provided. This is based on a day rate, any travel, assistants, hair/makeup, permits, etc.
How did you get started in this business?
I began my career by photographing musicians for their own promotion and in concert. Later, when living in NYC, I began doing headshots for actors. That work let to other opportunities and various kinds of photography for a diverse set of clients and requirements.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Fortune 500 businesses, small businesses, non-profits, artists, families, high school seniors, real estate professionals (property, marketing, and headshots), musicians, actors, medical, etc.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I do a lot of work in the autism community to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of those on the spectrum. I work with two schools in the Seattle area that cater to kids on the spectrum creating their school photos every year. It's not easy and it takes a lot of time and energy, however it's incredibly rewarding to hear from parents who are grateful that i was able to conect with their child and create a really nice portrait for them.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone you feel at ease communicating with! You could hire the best photographer in the world but if you can't exchange ideas or feel awkward in your communication, it will show in your final images. There are tons of talented photographers with different approaches and personalities. Make sure you select one that you feel comfortable with.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about the end result you'd like to see and work backwards. How do I envision the final images? Are they oiutdoors, indoors in a studio setting? What kind of mood am I looking for in my images? If you're a business, what would make my target client feel reassured and confident I can solve their biggest problems? What's my budget? Once a photographer has all that information they can put together a pan that meets your needs.
