Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is warm, simple, and client-focused. First, we connect via email or a quick phone call to understand your vision, location, and needs. I then recommend a photography package that fits your event or session. Once booked, Iβll guide you through preparation, styling tips, and location ideas if needed. On the day of the shoot, I focus on making you feel comfortable while capturing natural, beautiful moments. After the session, youβll receive a preview gallery within a few days and your full edited gallery shortly afterβready to download, print, and share.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a classically trained photographer with formal education in portrait and event photography, combined with over 10 years of hands-on experience. Iβve completed advanced courses in lighting, composition, and wedding photography, and continuously stay updated on the latest techniques, gear, and editing tools. My training allows me to deliver professional-quality images in any environmentβindoors, outdoors, or on-locationβand ensures every client receives timeless, beautifully crafted photos.

How did you get started in this business?
Photography started as a personal passion and quickly became my lifeβs work. I was classically trained in portrait photography and began capturing moments for friends and family. Over time, I discovered how powerful it is to preserve love, connection, and milestones through the lens. That passion led me to specialize in weddings, elopements, and family photography across Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. Today, I feel honored to help people tell their stories through images that last a lifetime.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Iβve worked with a wide range of clients across Seattle and the Pacific Northwestβincluding engaged couples, eloping adventurers, growing families, expectant mothers, high school seniors, and corporate event organizers. From intimate courthouse weddings to large cultural celebrations and quiet family sessions in the park, Iβm experienced in adapting to every clientβs needs, personality, and setting. Whether it's your first professional photo shoot or your fifth anniversary, I tailor the experience to make every client feel confident and seen.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One recent event that truly stands out was a surprise courthouse elopement at the King County Courthouse in Seattle. The couple contacted me just two days before their ceremonyβit was intimate, emotional, and beautifully simple. After the vows, we walked through Pioneer Square and along the waterfront for spontaneous portraits. The energy was joyful and relaxed, and the light that day was perfect. It reminded me why I love this work: capturing genuine love in the moments that matter most.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for a photographer whose style matches your visionβand who makes you feel comfortable and understood. Review full galleries, not just highlights, to see how they capture real moments across different lighting and locations. Ask about their experience with your specific type of session, whether it's a wedding, elopement, or family shoot. Great photography isnβt just about the cameraβitβs about connection, consistency, and trust. Choose someone who listens, guides you through the process, and cares about telling your story authentically.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Before reaching out, think about what kind of experience you want. Ask yourself:
What type of photography do I needβwedding, family, elopement, maternity, or event?
Do I have a date, time, or location in mind?
How many people will be part of the session?
What style of photos do I loveβposed, candid, editorial, or natural?
Whatβs my ideal budget, and whatβs most important to me: time, quality, location, or turnaround?
Having a clear vision helps us recommend the right package, plan the best session, and deliver exactly what youβre hoping for.
