Frayed Threads Mending is a sustainability-focused textile and clothing repair studio based in Seattle, Washington, serving customers in Northeast Seattle’s Ravenna/Wedgwood area. The studio extends the life of garments through mending, knitwear darning, refashioning, and basic tailoring and alterations, addressing holes, tears, worn areas, and fit adjustments to keep clothing in use and out of the waste stream.
Led by Rachel Weigelt, who learned to sew from her grandmother and trained in couture techniques, patterning, and draping at the Seattle Fashion Academy, the studio combines skilled craftsmanship with a practical approach to garment
