Lunar Catering, a division of Lunar Foods Group is a full-service catering company. We are not the average caterer; our clients seek us not only to provide them catering services but take advantage of our planning process associated with the catered event. We have an intake process that covers all aspects of the event so that we can help better serve our client’s needs.

Our job is to not only ensure the food is tasty but also help elevate the stresses of event planning and so our clients can actually enjoy the event.

Lastly, due to Covid-19 we have taken icreased measures to ensure the safest methods of handling of foods are taken as well as proper sanitation for the protection for you, your guests and our staff.

As a food service industry professional for over 35 years and restaurant and bar owner the past 15 years, what I've truly enjoyed first and foremost is cooking and hosting events.

Although I am very well versed in American/US Regional cuisines, I truly enjoy the ethnic menus I've prepared for my clients. The ethnic menus that I have crafted for my clients are firsthand food experiences from my various travels to different countries around the world.

Additionally, the other best part of my job is engaging with my client’s needs, helping craft their menu and seeing the smiles on my clients and their guests faces as they experience the food we prepare.

Frequently asked questions

Once a client agrees to our services, we will send an electronic catering intake form asking serveral basic questions that will help infom me of any specfic needs from allergies, plated vs buffet, ethenic menus, dish and utencil package, ice sculpture, etc.

After the intake form is complete, then I work on crafting menu that meets your requirements culinary and budgetary wise. 

Depending on the type of catering (typically for higher end weddings, receptions or private dinners) I will meet the client for a food tasting. 

My mother was a caterer specializing in Filipino syle cusine, so naturally, I've always been around lots of food. However, I fell in love with the industry while in college. I worked for my brothers nightclub in the late 80s/early 90s serving up casual bar bites.

From 1991-2000, I really got formal culiary training when I took a postion as a chef/manager for a nationwide contarct food dining and catering company. From 2001-2008 I operated fine dining and fast casual restaurants. In late 2008, I decide to take a plunge and go independant and open up a small spanish style cocktail bar with higher end small bites. Since then I've opened and operated a premier pub in the heart of downtown Seattle serving scratched pub cusines from all around the world. I've had a high end Mexican seafood resturant focusing on coastal regions of Mexico. Currently, I am a partner in a prepared foods and catering company and serve as a restaurant consultant for independent operators and small multi-unit food chains.
