What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I go through a pretty thorough consultation whether it is a new or exisiting client. I want to know the history of your hair. When was the last time you received a color or haircut service? Have you recently used box color? What are your expectations? What are you expecting to pay? I am a very honest stylist. I take the health of your hair into consideration before any service is performed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 10+ years. I have extensive training in haircolor, highlights, balayage and haircuting.

Yes, i do have "starting at" prices. There is an additional charge for hair density and length when hair color services are rendured.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have a very diverse clientele and i work with all hair types.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Cheaper does not necessarily mean better. Most stylist charge what they charge because of the amount of experience they have as a cosmetologist and the education they have put into their careers. I would pay close attention to the quality of products the professional is using. If you are paying top dollar, top quality professional products should be used on your hair. I would also pay attention to whether or not the professional that is servicing you is being interactive or not. You deserve to know the "why" behind what is being done to your hair.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Be honest about your expectations. If you know that you'll have problems maintaining your hair, don't be afraid to ask your pro for a plan or guide. That is our job! Also, don't wait for the pro to give you product recommendations, ask for them. Ask if the haircut and/or color you want goes with your face shape. Ask your pro whether or not the service you are receiving will be high maintenence and if it's ideal for your lifestyle.
