I do good work and I take a lot of pride in it. I am results oriented but I am also a big fan of the process. I enjoy meeting people and collaborating with them to realize their goals. I work hard to get things right in camera, but I also have the Photoshop skills to make the necessary corrections for things that are outside my control during the shoot. I have been shooting professionally since 2010. From 2010 - 2018 I was in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From 2018 - present, I have been in Kansas, Oklahoma, which is in the northeastern part of the state. My travel range includes all of northeast Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas, southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to do as much pre-shoot planning and collaborating as the client will support. Some are totally into per-planning and collaboration and some want to leave everything to the photographer. I try to at least get a sense of what they expect from the shoot in terms of style and content.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Art Instiitute of Pittsburgh under the GI Bill but stopped short of obtaining a degree. Practical experience is a much better teacher, in my opinion.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My rate for a portrait session of 1 - 2 hours is $185. I do negotiate terms for longer sessions but I find that time frame is suitable for most objectives. For commercial work, my rates vary depending on travel distance, time on scene, and the number of photos that will be required.
How did you get started in this business?
I started out as a hobby enthusiast and progressed to semi-professional landscape photography and then portrait photography.

Individuals, corporations, non-profits.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Ordinarily, I thoroughly enjoy shooting events, but due to the pandemic, I have been accepting only those commissions that can be done outdoors, with social distance.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
To evaluate a photographer, customers should look at their work and read the reviews of previous customers. In discussion with a potential photographer, customers should communicate their needs clearly and get an assurance the photographer understands and can meet their objectives.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What is the photographer's policy regarding bad weather or other events outside the customer's control that would cause the shoot to be delayed or cancelled? What is the photographer's policy on usage and rights assignment for the images they will deliver? Will the photographer share all images from the shoot? Will all images be edited or only a set amount? If only a partial set will be dited and delivered, who makes that selection? Does the photographer carry insurance? Does the photographer have back-ups for key pieces of equipment (camera bodies, lenses, lights)?
