Ren was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and currently lives in Oakland, California. He has over a decade of experience taking photographs. A love of art led him to attend San Francisco State University where he earned a Bachelors of Art in Photography. He began his professional career by working as an assistant on commercial and architectural shoots. He has photographed fine art, portraits, landscpe, dance performance and film stills as well as architecture. His work has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, SF Weekly, Nautilus Magazine, Diablo Magazine and on countless websites. A sense for design and a fascination with the built environment is why he chose to specialize in architectural photography.
