About
I am multifaceted in all types of makeup design. I can do everything from Beauty makeup for weddings and special events, to creative shoots for editorial sessions and product launches, to makeup for film and TV including prosthetics and creature design. I am also a sculptor and painter, so I am very knowledgeable when it comes to shapes, and color matching and skin tones.
I love every part of creating. I love to make people feel good about themselves-- which would be the beauty aspect of my job, and i love the transformational aspect when I'm working on set, creating a character. I love putting my energy into my craft because it gives me a sense of "flow" and is quite meditative. I am very lucky when it comes to the boundaries i create for myself and my clients, because there is no limit to creativity!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to find out what the occasion is, then discuss wardrobe, what the client likes, then I will give my professional expertise.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a certification in Makeup artistry from Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. I also took a hair styling class in school, and have since learned more hairstyling on the job.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I like to discuss pricing depending on the job, so pricing is subject to what is needed.
How did you get started in this business?
I started experimenting with makeup when I was in high school, doing all of my friends' hair and makeup for dances, prom, weddings, etc. I also grew up in New Orleans where we have Mardi Gras every year, so I would really get creative around that time, as well as for Halloween. I then went on to work in the film industry where I decided to go back to school for film makeup artistry.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all types from just the every day woman who wants a good glam, to celebrity clients, actors, models, mature woman, and all skin types as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently have been shooting Budoir and Beauty with a photographer who I really love working with. We really love to make art together and collaborate quite nicely!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Pricing is subject to quality of the work. Pro artists also have to replenish product pretty rapidly, as well as carry products up to date and of quality. Pro artists also have knowledge of skin types, lighting, and facial structure to make you look and feel your best.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have photo references available of inspiration. The pro artist can work around a few different photos to get a better understanding on the types of looks you like and admire, and try to work as best as they can with your facial structure, skin type, and color tones.
