Hair And Makeup By Brittany
About
I am a cut and color specialist who has been behind the chair for over a decade. I also do special event makeup services and weddings. When you are in my chair, your happiness and satisfaction is my priority. My salon hires only top stylists who are committed to continued education, so I can proudly say that we work together as a team to make sure our skills are impeccable. We challenge each other and help one another grow in our craft on a daily basis.
I knew at age 12 that I wanted to be a hair and makeup designer. Growing up in theater, I had many wonderful chances to play with hair and makeup in that regard, but I knew I wanted to make this my life. Hair and makeup design is my passion, and I'm living my dream. I enjoy working with people to help their dreams also become reality.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make sure that each guest receives a thorough consultation. Once we both feel comfortable and confident about moving forward, my guest can sit back, relax, and enjoy being pampered.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a California Cosmetology License, am certified in the Brazilian Blowout smoothing system, and am an Advanced Pravana Color Specialist. At least once monthly for over 10 years I have taken state of the art color, cutting, and styling classes to help keep my skills current and sharp. I also specialize in the Balayage technique and help train other stylists how to enhance their coloring skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Price varies by service; please contact for details.
How did you get started in this business?
From my childhood I have always been fascinated by the art of hair and makeup design. I even wrote papers about the industry when I was in grade school. I completed my 1600 hour Cosmetology course less than a year after graduating high school and started training under a master stylist immediately.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have had the privilege on working with just about every type of client one could imagine, from commercial beauty to fantasy-style characters and beyond.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently got back to my roots in theater when working behind the scenes as a hair and makeup artist for an independent feature film. Every day on set was so fun and different from the next. One day I was styling a beautiful model; the next I was pouring fake blood on a man who had just lost a "cage fight".
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Never be afraid to ask your stylist questions. Your hair is the accessory you wear every day, so it is important that you feel comfortable with your stylist. You must form a relationship of trust. Therefore, always be upfront and honest about past experiences and the types of services you have had previously. The more information your stylist has about your hair or skin, the better they will be able to accommodate your needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
The most important topics to discuss before a service are the following: type of service, price, the stylist's comfort level with the type of service, length of time needed to complete the service, and whether there will need to be multiple appointments.
