Emma was great to work with from beginning to end. She was professional, prepared, and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, even though posing for photos doesn’t come naturally to me. She captured our Santa Barbara wedding beautifully from the important portraits to the candid moments we didn’t even realize were happening. The photos felt natural, genuine, and true to us. We’re very happy we hired Candid Camellia Photography and would confidently recommend Emma to other couples!!

My experience was awesome. From the beginning they made it easy to get comfortable with how we should proceed. Never been asked to take a moment to reflect on the present moment by anyone in whatever setting, and I am glad to admit it was most certainly needed.
Emma is a true professional and makes it fun. Just be yourself and everything else fall into place, I am in love with how my pictures came out. If you are looking for someone new that isnt afraid to go outside the box? Then I recommend Emma 100%
    Thank you Emma. You rock.

    Frequently asked questions

I prefer to work with my clients in a personal manner via phone or through Webcam so we can break down barriers and really understand what they are in search of.

Communication via messages is fine, however I prefer the latter, also depending on how my client feels with the communication process.

Once I understand the details, I start formulating a process to make the session come true!

When a client is unsure of outdoor locations, I always have a library of Locations to offer depending on the client's preferred naturescape background.

I attended Antelope Valley College for my Photography skills and WOW, did my taste for pixelated art, GROW expontentially!

I learned how to dabble with 35mm Color, Black and White Film especially in the Dark Room where developing art, starts in pitch black, darkness. From there, I grew into Photojournalism Composition, Digital - Beginning and Advanced, and finally, Studio Lighting.

The culmination of those courses allowed me to find myself through my style.

To make the most of your consultation with a professional photographer, it helps to reflect on a few important questions: 1. What type of photography am I looking for? (e.g., wedding, engagement, portraits, branding, family, event coverage) 2. What style do I prefer? Think about whether you like candid, editorial, light and airy, dark and moody, or classic styles. Looking at inspiration or reference photos can help guide this. 3. What is my budget? Knowing your budget range helps the photographer recommend packages or custom options that fit your needs. 4. What date(s) and location(s) do I have in mind? Sharing your ideal shoot date and location early on ensures the photographer’s availability and helps with planning. 5. How many people will be involved, and how long will I need the photographer? This helps determine the scope of the shoot and the amount of coverage required. 6. Are there any must-have shots or moments? Communicating any specific expectations (like key family members, a particular pose, or detail shots) ensures they won’t be missed. 7. What will I be using the photos for? Whether it’s for personal keepsakes, business branding, or social media, knowing the purpose can shape how the photographer approaches the shoot. 8. Do I need additional services? (e.g., photo editing, prints, albums, outfit guidance, hair/makeup referrals) Thinking through these points in advance allows for a more meaningful, productive conversation—and a final product you’ll love.
