Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All a new or repeat customer needs to do is contact Papa via text, telephone or email. Let him know the following information:
Date of the event
Time of the event
Address of the event
Number of guests expected at the event
Papa will confirm if he has your event’s desired date and time available. If it is, he’ll require a $100 deposit to hold the date. It’s really simple and hassle-free!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
This is Papa’s 6th successful start-up. He spent 10 years in the screenprinting business, printing and selling t-shirts, etc. in two retail locations (La Jolla and Coronado Island.) He also printed and sold original design t-shirts wholesale to other t-shirt shops from San Diego to San Francisco, as well as custom printed shirts for businesses and organizations.
After selling his retail and wholesale screen printing business, he purchased a company specializing in the manufacture of photographic chemicals used in Medical Imaging, Graphic Arts, Professional Darkroom, Microfilm, and the Motion Picture industry. He employed 40+ employees and expanded the business by providing private label manufacturing for companies like Kodak, Fuji, 3M, Imation, Walt Disney Studios, Industrial Light and Magic, Agfa and many others.
After 20 years in the photochemical business he retired - for about 3 months. Then he bought a struggling seafood restaurant (a lifelong dream) and specialized in his favorite cuisine of New Orleans-style Cajun and Creole food. He added an oyster bar and, along with his wife, shucked tens of thousands of oysters for his customers on weekends. He also did catering jobs specializing in his favorite seafood recipes. After 6 years he sold the restaurant and tried, unsuccessfully, to retire again. After a year he got bored and decided to open a Supper Club once a month in his Pauma Valley home. He and his wife still do their Lafitte’s Supper Club dinners or brunches on occasion, but not on a regular basis.
