Art is my life, because art is life. From the first time I held a camera, I knew photography would play a big part in who I would become. As an Independent Photographer of 10+ years, it is my belief that pictures offer the unique opportunity to experience moments in life that we could never otherwise relive. I would be honored to capture those precious moments in your life and make them truly unforgettable.
Film and black & white photography are my first love. There is pure beauty in the human race. I love capturing the raw essence of a person, using film and B&W photos allows me to take away all the other distractions of life and color, and focus on the pure natural beauty of the subject. Such a style is seen in my idols such as Richard Avedon and Garry Winogrand. Their ability to capture people in their raw form, at their highest and lowest moments was amazing. Being a photographer to me is more then just taking great photos, it is about being an artist! Using people as your canvas and your lens as your brush.
I hope that my artistic eye and your natural beauty will come together and create a masterpiece.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am a huge fan or 'the personal touch'! We love to either meet in person or via phone with our clients first just to make sure we connect, and hear your story/vision. After we will discuss location and the collection that will be best suited for your portrait session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studies at Sacramento State and Napa Valley College. It is extermly improtant to me to not only hone my craft but education, so we have studied under several Bay Area studios, and attended courses presented by Jose Villa, Caroline Tran, and Jonathan Canlas (owner of The Find Lab).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes we do most of our basica sessions begin at around $250 and include an hour coverage. For our Wedding Collections packages begin at $700.

How did you get started in this business?
I have loved photography since I was a kid. It wasnt until high school that my photography teacher handed me a camera. To my suprise it was a film camera, and though I was intimidted I took too of them on a family trip to Hawaii where I photographed the locals, and their everyday life. I instantly fell in love with each portrait and it's texture. I loved these faces like there were people I had known for years. The rest is history. I stuck with my craft and begin photographing everywhere I went. The more I shot the more I wanted to capture people, and it was not until years after college I decided to make my love, my career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds, and I am excited to work with so amy more. I have a big passion for photographing diverse families, couples, and people as I want to change the face of the industry itself.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone you love. Book them, even if they are not me. I always tell my clients when a house is burning down in the midst of all the chaos the treasures people usually grab include photos. Photos are priceless. You want a photographer who not only understands this, but see's the priceless moments and knows how to make them forever memories.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Booking a professional photographer is very different then asking a family member or friend to take a picture of you. We see capturing your life moments not only as a honor, but a serious request. So have in mind what vision you may want, and know just how much a priority the pictures are for you 1-10.
