Our mission is to capture all of your special moments in their true beauty. We strive to highlight your most cherished memories for a lifetime. The techniques and artistry used on all images is for an emphasis of the true essence of that moment.
Photography has always been an essential part of my life. My grandfather was a photographer and he gave me my first camera as a young girl. I honestly fell in love right then and there. I hope to bring the joy and love I get from photographic art to you.
I love to travel. It gives me a perspective about the world that you just cannot get while stationary. I have met a lot of wonderful people along the way who have opened my world to new ideas. I plan to integrate these concepts into a beautiful vision for your home.
I was born and raised in Orange County, CA. In 2004, I graduated from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, RI. With my Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography, I understand the intricate nature of photography and will use these lessons to take your ideas and create the perfect piece of art. I have successfully managed a photography studio since my graduation in 2004 as well as gaining my Masters degree from the University of Texas in 2008.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A Shutter in Time Photography works with you to get the images that will last a lifetime. We have several different options for capturing your artistically genuine portraits. The ever so popular and always exciting on-location sessions will highlight your interests, likes and hobbies. We have several locations that can be suggested for your use. If there is a special location you know of we are more than happy to travel to this exciting spot (travel fee may apply). On-location sessions use natural light to capture the surrounding area in its purest form. These sessions always produce images that are treasured and loved by all. The fun and excitement of on-location sessions bring out a candidness that truly reflects in the images.
Our studio sessions are located in Huntington Beach, California. If you prefer an in-home newborn session we can travel to you for an additional fee. Studio portraits are ideal for our more intimate sessions such as pregnancy and newborn photos. For pregnancy portraits we conveniently provide dresses, covers, wraps and more. For our newborn portraits we offer a number of buckets, blankets, newborn outfits, beanies and bows, props, etc. You will fall in love with your images leaving your friends asking, "Where did you go for such amazing portraits."
All sessions will last 60 to 90 minutes, although some newborn sessions may last longer. A nonrefundable sitting fee of $99.00 is due upon booking your portrait session. If you need to reschedule for any reason 48 hour notice is required or your sitting fee is surrendered. Shortly after your photos are taken you will come to our studio for an ordering session. All orders must be placed during this time - please have all decision makers present. During your ordering session you will select photos, sizes and products that you wish to purchase. There is no minimum purchase required. We do offer some portrait packages or you can order a la carte to fit your needs. Your order will be ready in 7-10 business days after your ordering session is complete. Some custom products may require additional time in production.
