Martown Love Photography
About
Talofa! I'm Mareta, a professional photographer with roots in the vibrant islands of Samoa and heart now grounded in the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture, colors, and spirit of the Pacific, I developed a deep appreciation for beauty in its most natural and authentic form. That island influence lives in every frame I capture - whether it's the warmth of golden light, the power or emotion, or the quiet strength in a candid moment. Based in Colorado and I also travel to capture stories across the globe, I blend island soul with mountain spirit, offering a unique perspective through my lens.
What sets my photography apart is the way I approach each session - with care, cultural awareness, and a deep love for people's stories. I believe photography is more than just beautiful pictures; it's about connection. It's about making my clients feel seen and celebrated. I create a relaxed supportive environment where people can be themselves, because that's when the magic happens in the real, the raw, the unfiltered. As a travel photographer, I find inspiration in new places and unfamiliar perspective. Every destination has a story to tell, and I'm passionate about capturing those stories through a lens of authencity and respect.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with new customer starts with a conversation. When the client contact me, I usually contact them right away and we have a conversation either via phone, email or text whichever they prefer. They ask me anything they like to ask and I would ask them about their event or photoshoot. We will both then figure out what is the best approach and move forward to the next step.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self taught, but I did took photogrpahy classes in college & I did receive a photography certificate which helps me with my photogrpahy business and excel.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started with my photography business when I was back home in the South Pacific and I was asked if I can do a photoshoot for one of my cousins friends family. I'm usually just a family photographer taking pictures during family vacations and around the house. But seeing that joy & happiness it brought my cousins friends family when they received their images, brought me so much joy and I would love to share that joy with all of my clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with different customers and from all walks of life. I've photograph wedding & events, families, couples, solo portrait birthday photoshoot, babies & during holidays like Valentines, Christmas, Easter etc. Most of all of the customers I've worked with are out of state, from different clients that booked me from different places in the US.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Me personally, If I was a customer talking to a pro about their needs, I would suggest asking about what are their availabilities? Are they available for the full event? Most importantly, how much will all of this cost & what is included? Do they have a second photographer?
