I've been a professional freelance photographer since 1982. I do a wide variety of photography, including sports, travel, people, events, food, corporate as well as some video. I am a past president of the American Society of Media Photographers. I studied film making at the Colorado Film School. I enjoy various subjects, clients and challenges.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Talk to the customer and find out what they're expecting. I also ask about past photo experiences and what they liked and did not like about that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
College degree, Colorado Film School, innumerable classes and seminars related to photography, photoshop and all the other software products I need in my business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have some set prices for certain types of projects. Others are quoted on a per job basis depending on what the client needs.
How did you get started in this business?
I started after college and after working for other photographers for several years.

Many different types of customers including consumers,sports corporate, political, travel, food and more.

My last trip to Italy to photograph an event I especially enjoy there.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't just look at the price, look at the work.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
It depends on the project. There isn't any single blanket question.
