Kandice is grateful to be serving the community where she lives with her salon. When Kandice started cosmetology school, she was a single mom looking for a way to support her child. She worked for seven years as an apprentice behind the chair before going out on her own. After three years, she realized that she wanted to give back to the beauty industry and began teaching young cosmetology students the tools of the trade.
This led her to hair shows for Matrix and Redken, and eventually an Executive Director position of a cosmetology school. Kandice held her Executive Director position for 5 years and decided that ultimately she was happiest when working behind the chair with clients.
Opening her hair salon in 2011, she has worked hard to create a comfortable environment for each and every client that walks through her door. Each person is treated with respect and familiarity - like old friends! Kandice and the stylists at Hairitage by Design take pride in creating not only a look you will love, but an environment you will love just as much.
Kandice came into being a salon owner unexpectedly. It was never part of her dream. "But today," Kandice says "I know what I am supposed to do. I love my salon and the environment I have created. I Love what I do!"
