Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk face to face and discuss the expectations for the time we spend together. We will talk about your hair routine, products, the time and money you are willing to spend on your hair. Open communication is very important and creates great hair.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When I first broke out of beauty school, I worked with Toni & Guy specailizing in Hair cutting and styling. The continuing education with TIGI was invaluable. It included weekly model nights, and a ton of high end advanved education.
I have had razor cutting classes with the founder of Hairbrained, Gerard Scarpaci, where I learned to master the straight razor and work with hairs natual movement while styling and cutting.
Since my begining focus was in haircuts, I then switched my educational focus to color and attended classed with Davines, Kevin Murphy, Sunlights, and most recently I have taken a Balayage Bootcamp with Lisa Walker of (IG) LisaLovesblayage.
I always plan on continuing my education in hair and hope to start traveling around the country to learn from some of my idols.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
It may be worth it to take a stylist up on a free consulation. During this short 15 minute appoinment, you can vibe the salon and stylist and talk about expectations and see how well you can communicate with one another. First impressions mean a lot and this is a perfect time to feel out your future stylist.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do not think about how much time you WANT to spend on your hair and ask yourself how much time you are WILLING to spend on your hair.
