Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I create and capture genuine moments for people and families who want to share the love and passions in their life and heart.⠀ Some of the most genuine moments are not always staged.
So where to begin? You know you want a family photo shoot, a new self portrait...
You don't need to worry about the nuts and bolts about the session. That's where I come in. I guide you through this fun journey, that I love.
It's about your story, your life, and your authentic self. This isn't about getting some snaps, and some digital's for Facebook.
This is an investment in you, or your family. This is how you get to share you genuine self.
This is how you share who you are, what you do.
This is your investment, and it means everything to me to create you in to a beautiful piece of art.
I want your soul to glow.
Our first meeting will be about getting you know you, or you and your family.
Make an appointment for an in home or in studio visit. This is where we will create your personal style, and curate a custom session for you.
There are no strict time limits on most sessions sessions, there are no set limits of outfit changes. Each package is tailored made for you.
When it's time for your session we will meet at the chosen location, and capture your story. I will ensure all the details you requested are met to the best of my ability and circumstance.
After your session I pour over your images and curate an album of images that reflect your authentic self.
But it doesn't end there. I have 25 years in photography experience. And I have noticed that so many clients images are dropped off, never to be seen again! All products are sold separately from the photo shoot, to ensure you get exactly what you want, and don't want.
This is for you, your family, your moment in time.
Why are they not a decor staple in your home. I am here to guide you through the sometimes scary process of products. If you have invested in this session, why would you send your image to a drug store. Once you have shared your image socially, it's loved then scrolled by. That moment is now gone. Do you see we have have lost the connection, human connection?
I am here to reconnect you
to life.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 25 years of experiance. My work has been seen on ESPN, HBO and SHowtime. I have also traveled the world with my art in exhibitions.
How did you get started in this business?
A camera has been in my hand since High School where I developed my own film. I loved the days in the dark room and discovering the world of art. At the same time I was a budding artist and film junkie. I took every class I could get my hands on to absorb the basics, and the masters.
As I got older I continued to capture images in a street style. I had some early works published in a music Zine here in Denver.
Later after I had had my two kiddos I was only then able to open my official business. I had out grown my home studio, and I wanted to have the freedom to expand in my own studio.
I moved into a DIY art campus in the RiNo Art District in Denver. I am now able to create personalized sets, and expand into commercial and boudoir photography. My studio is unique and private.
From being here I have been able to expand in my fine art photography. Because I have a back ground in film I am visualy influenced by the look and drama of Film Noir and other great black and white genres. My portrait style is seeped in lighting drama, and traditional lighing. My color portraits are bright and saturated, and I ad a lot of fun elements from neon lights, strobe effects, to bubbles!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have been very lucky to travel and work with sports celbrities, and at home with the Denver Broncos. But my every day client varies. My favorite projects are with business start ups, and other artists. I love being there to help them launch their dreams.
As a mom I adore working with kids, and even the big kids! I have a sports background and I do a lot of kids sports. They just are the cutest athletes! The pee wee kiddos are just too much adorbs. I've worked with teen athletes, and those guys are just wow! I have been taken back by some of those potential super stars.
In the studio I enjoy one on one time with my client. There is nothing more amazing watching a client become more confidnt as we shoot. I love to coach and also kid around and get silly. Some of the most serious shoots have brought me to tears in laughter between images! You'd never know ;-)
I'm a goof ball, and I love being part of peoples lives, its so interesting to hear every ones story and get a deeper understanding of who they are.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Go with the visuals! Not price! Find your look, what are you drawn too. Are they an amature? If so are you ok with that?
Check their web sites and their Facebook page. LIke me, just because I dont use these lead sites often , doesn't mean I haven't done any business. Most of my reviews are on Facebook, and it's where I am found more often.
