William Lulow is an exceptional photographer who brings fresh, new creative ideas to every photo session. His years of experience and sheer talent are brought to every project. His work with people is extraordinary. Bill does more than portraiture. He captures the life essence and story of each person in a way that has never been captured before. Aside from his extraordinary ability and creativity, he is also fun to work with!

I recently needed a professional head shot for my website. Like many people, I do not like having my picture taken! Bill made the experience not only productive - my photographs are beautiful - but fun! Yes, I said fun. I took Bills advice and had my makeup done by his in-house makeup artist Jill Harth, and the results were magnificent. I was so comfortable with Bill and Jill by the time we began to shoot, I felt more like we were three friends enjoying an afternoon together. Really wonderful in every way and I would recommend Bill (and Jill (!) highly to anyone in need of an excellent photo of herself.

Bill is a consummate pro with a wealth of experience in the field, and with the patience and insights necessary to share it all in digestible form. I hired Bill for photography lessons, and his hands-on, encouraging approach paid immediate dividends with my photography - as it will with yours regardless of your skill level. Highly recommend his work.

I was in quick need of really good headshots for my Linked In profile and new website. William was terrific -- professional, mindful of time, and truly talented. I never like pictures of me, and I love these. He has a really impressive portfolio, and when you work with him it shows.

    Positive: Professionalism
An excellent experience. I was getting new headshots, Post Pandemic and found Mr. Lulow to be very professional, easy to work with and ready to go with great ideas. Getting headshots back the same day with a memory stick of shots enabled me to start submitting to casting companies right away.

    Frequently asked questions

I love new customers, because it gives me a chance to discuss with them what they are looking for in a photograph or photographs and how we can work together to realize their goals. For people looking to use their images for websites, it's important to get it right the first time. So there is a lot of communication that takes place before we even begin to shoot.

I have Master's degrees in both TV, Radio, Film and Education. Four years' training at studios in New York City with well-known photographers before I opened my own studio in 1980. Since then, I have been making images to be used in advertising, public relations and private use for decades now.

The cheapest and best way to book photographic sessions is by the day rate. I charge a flat fee, based on time and other considerations. So corporations then can schedule as many people for headshots, for example, as we can comfortably shoot in a day or half-day.
I studied photography extensively for most of my life, actually. When I decided to turn pro, I worked with several big name NYC photographers to learn the business.
I have worked with advertising agencies, corporations, public relations firms, law firms and individuals.
