Everyone has a camera these days that can produce a decent photo. The difference is, I'm a trained photographer, schooled in the use of light, both natural and Studio. I did my apprenticeship in Berlin, Germany, and then moved back home to open my own studio. People frequently remark that I make the photographic process easy and relaxing. That's a function of experience. I am not the cheapest photographer; I do believe you get what you pay for. I love my work. I believe you will too.
Have used Ms. Clayton twice. Once for a family holiday portrait and another time for a family reunion photo shoot. The latter shoot was done outdoors at night and regardless of the challenging lighting, area and number of subjects, she managed to capture several beautiful shots, while putting all at ease. I highly recommend her.
I have never felt comfortable being the subject of photographs. Carol put me at ease and made me feel completely relaxed during the shoot.
Typically it starts with a phone call or an email. I determine what my client wants and then we find a time that works. If it's a family photograph I will visit before the day of the shoot to get to know the family a little, and if it's a location photograph to see what the lighting and furniture looks like. We discuss clothing, jewelry, and what the end use of the portraits might be.
