What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we ensure that we fully understand what the client is looking for. Some clients have a crystal clear objective while others are still in the development of their photos. Regardless we spend whatever time it takes to understand up front so we can propose a solution that the client will be happy with.
We also provide samples and information about our firm so the client is familiar with our style and quality of work.
If we feel we are not a good match for the client we advise them of alternative professional photographers that may provide a service closer to what the client is seeking.

How did you get started in this business?
In 1976 I began working for a studio photographing weddings and portraits.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All walks of life. All ages, many nationalities and demagraphics.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for quality of work. At the end of the day you are paying for quality photographs. There are many people who "have really good cameras", but concentrate on the skill of the photographer meeting your needs. Wht good is a "really good oven" in a restaurant at the hands of a unskilled cook?
Be comfortable with the photographer, but focus on the photography they provide.
