First, I find out what the event is and their thoughts on what they want to get out of the event How do they invision the flow of the evening. What parts of it do the they want to be the most important.
Next, I ask what roles / tasks they would like me to play in the event
Last, I determine their budget

I have been in the event planning business for over 25 years.
With nation and international accounts such as, Calvin Klein Collection, Escada, Chanel, Neiman Marcus, non-profit clients, personal parties, planning weddings for American couples in Italy.
I have a BS in Business and a minor in marketing.

I work on a sliding scale passed on the needs of the project, starting at $35 per hour or a base retainer.
