Chef Rasheed

I am so excited to finally be able to share my passion for fine cuisine with even more people! Hello my name is Chef Rasheed. I am half Italian and half Arab and raised in South Florida. I was raised in a predominantly Italian family, trained in Italy but was actually named after my grandfather Rasheed who was a chef for dignitaries at the US Embassy in Jordan. I graduated from the Florida Culinary Institute in 2004. I have also been traveling the world with my parents searching for exotic fine foods with a heavy focus on collecting superior category olive oil for the past 25 years since I was 10 years old. In 2007 I launched a gourmet foods/olive oil import company as a hobby with my Mom Ersilia Moreno and it took off in a way we could never imagine! We started in the local South Florida Farmers Markets to becoming a nationwide success. My company Olive Oil Of The World is now a household name for those in the Florida farm to table community. I also just WON The City Of West Palm Beach Green Market 2020 MasterChef Competition and after so many of my customers implored me to make a ThumbTack profile sooo, here I am. As many of you know I specialize in Italian and Mediterranean food but please know as my barbecue events in the past will tell you that my southern style barbecue spare ribs will KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF, guaranteed.

Over the years I have not been able to stay away from cooking because while running my import company have been a private/event/popup warehouse/farm restaurant chef in Palm Beach and Martin County for 15 years however it has just been to for fulfill my need and love of cooking for others.

Now that my company has employees, my family has grown and forgive the unintentional pun, my company Olive Oil Of the World runs like a well oiled machine without me a lot of the time, I can now offer my services to more than just a few select clients, a few weddings and doing dinners on Kai Kai Farm for 100 people once a year.
