My name is Shimoda Austin and I'm a 12 year experienced hairstylist in Atlanta Georgia. I have styled many women throughout the North and South. I graduated from Midway Paris Beauty school with a cosmetologist certificate. My main objective is to deliver quality hairstyles and beauty tips to all women. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process when working with a new customer is to find out their exact beauty needs and to make sure the hairstyle their choosing is good for their lifestyle or a current event. I like to get to know the client dislikes and likes about their hair and what's their overall goal to maintain healthy hair and current style requesting.

I graduated from Midway Paris beauty school in Brooklyn NY. I'm a 12 year experienced hairstylist that has styled many women throughout the North and South.

How did you get started in this business?
I have to honestly say I was born with my skill and grew up with a family full of hairstylist who mold and shaped me into a hairstylist.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked on movie sets, fashion shows, wedding parties, women retreats, all type of women.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would tell the customer to make sure the hairstylist she/he is choosing are able to deliver the hairstyle their requesting and listens closely to their needs as a customer. Do research/read reviews and comments on their personal social media page.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should closely evaluate their current hair and see if the hairstyle their requesting will work with their hair so that will be a great question to ask just in case their hair is suitable for the style therefore the customer will have time to arrange another hairstyle or see if they need extensions added. Customers should ask about pricing and forms of payment.
