Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to make sure I understand the customers needs. I start with asking a few questions about the shoot: What kind of photo shoot do you want? What is the setting (location)? What kind of look are you going for? Is this shoot for something specific (personal use or professional use)? Next, I provide information on how the shoot will go to make the customer feel more comfortable with the process.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
You can find the standard pricing on https://www.tauruszodio.com/scheduling_calendar.html
Prices starting at $75 an hour.
How did you get started in this business?
I started out as a manager for models and became interested in photographing. I still manage models, but now I perform the photo shoots for my models. I fell in love with taking pictures and being able to share with others what I see through my eyes.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with models for glam photos and print work and with families for family portraits.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I did a photo shoot for a fashion designer and some pieces she made. I really enjoyed that shoot. She's not a major model and has only done shoots a few times years before this shoot. She was nervous at first, but she got in front of the camera, and she's a natural! We did a shoot in front of a few landmarks in the city and they came out amazing! She enjoyed the shoot so much, she has an interest in modeling now! I was glad to be apart of the beginning of this new frontier with her.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would say, know what you want and make sure you find someone who can give you what you want. Make sure they have a few pictures, showcasing the kind of look you're looking for. Also, make sure you're comfortable with the photographer. The shoot will go a lot smoother and the pictures will come out better if you're comfortable with the photographer.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Anyone looking to do a photo shoot should first think of what kind of shoot they want, what kind of look they want, what their budget is for the shoot, and what the photos will be used for. Also, if there will be any special editing needs, those would need to be addressed as well.
