About
Simple Snaps by April uses neutral colors and minimal props to keep you and your loved ones at the focus of your photographs.
I am passionate about providing beautiful keepsakes for my clients. I want them to walk away with amazing images that capture their most important images. I have been taking photographs for the last nine years. Last year I opened my own studio and I love to create in the space. I have beautiful exposed brick walls with original hardwood floors. The space is inspiring. I am a member of the Georgia Professional Photographers Association as well as the Professional Photographers of America.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a conversation by phone or in person with every client before our session or event. We will discuss what to wear and how to prepare for the session. If I am photographing an event, I like to have a list of shoots the client is most interested in. I discuss with all clients how they plan to display their images. After our session, I hand edit every image. We then come back together for a viewing party. At that point, the client will choose their images and artwork.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took a photography class in college. I have also taken numerous courses online. I currently teach photography as well. Through teaching I have learned so much. Most of photography is getting out and practicing the art.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge for the session fee. Session fees star at $99 and go up from there depending on the amount of time needed. I also offer makeup and hair packages as well as dress & costume rental.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always had a creative side. I have never been one to draw or paint. When I picked up a camera, I was hooked. I started with film photography and developing photographs in a darkroom. I have since evolved into digital photography and processing photographs with Lightroom and PhotoShop.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have done all types of photography and worked with clients of all ages; from seconds old to 93. I have photographed people in the US, Ecuador, and Spain. I love getting to know new people and photographing them allows me the perfect vehicle.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I must recently photographed the Field Feast Super for a local charity called Wellspring living. I had a blast capturing the details of the event.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure the person you are hiring has a business license and insurance.
