What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss what the needs of the cllient are, any location preferences, and any special concerns over the phone or over coffee prior to the actual photo shoot. Date and time of shoot are agreed upon with date confirmed upon payment of deposit.
Recommendations for preparing for the photo shoot, including information on selecting clothing, is emailed to the client.
The remainder of the session fee is due one week prior to the photo shoot unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
The photo shoot itself is when we have fun together!
Images are then culled and processed. At least 20 images will be provided for client review for a portrait session and at least 250 images provided for weddings. Portrait images will be finished in one week or less and wedding images within two weeks.
The images are revealed during an inperson session between client and photographer. This is the time for the client to make selections of desired images and place order, paying a minimum of 50% of order.
Artwork is ready for delivery within two weeks for everything but albums, which take longer to design as well as print. Albums should be ready for delivery in one month, depending on number of revisions desired. Photographer strives for 100% satisfaction!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken numerous photography classes online. I'm also a nurse, which means that I know how to work with and communicate well with clients. It also means I am sensitive to clients with special needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on services requested, but a standard fee for a pirtrait on location photo shoot of 1-2 hours duration is $100 plus cost of products offered. Wedding fees depend on amount of time services are needed and travel involved.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always loved taking pictures, but it was the premature birth of a granddaughter that convinced me to study photography so I could "take better pictures of my grandchildren" that led me to a new passion for creating beautiful images.

All kinds! Young (babies) to the elderly, people of different races and cultures, formal weddings to informal family events.
