Hello I’m Candis! I’m an independent Event Planner. Inside and outside of my life I’m a planner at heart. I flourish in conferences, bridal showers, holiday parties, weddings and much more.
I enjoy implementing “the five C’s of event management” in my planning experiences. With my certification in Event Planning/Marketing, 7 years of industry experience, and my ongoing education for my Digital Marketing degree, my skills are well rounded and always evolving.
My prime qualities are project management, business process improvement, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). I have accomplished many substantial key achievements in the field, including:
1.) Successfully planning, and executing 750 events and counting

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Starting with a Free Consultation!
I think it's personally important to firstly asses if my services align to what you're looking for. We can schedule an available meeting time to talk. If moving forward is something we would like to do mutually, then I would compline and outline and next steps.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently have my Event Planning & Marketing certification through Ashworth College. As well as my ongoing education for my Digital Marketing Degree.
How did you get started in this business?
I started in the event industry very young. I worked at a large restaurant when I was 16. When I turned 18, I moved positions with the company as the Catering Manager. Which blossomed my loved for events. I had a passion for seeing how they looked during deliveries. I realized I wanted to execute the event itself.
Which then piqued my interest for furthering my education and learning more. Since receiving my certification I have planned and executed 750 events and counting.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Many different personalities and characters. That's a large portion of why I appreciate my work. I am given the opportunity to work with so many different clientele and backgrounds. I've worked with many guests that have religious affiliations to backyard bbq graduations to luxury weddings.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I enjoyed, and that was new to my palette was a Remembrance Gathering. It was beautiful to conduct everything behind the scenes with the light, and airy atmosphere. Giving happy emotion, and being the coordinator behind the scenes and seeing family and friends come together for remembrance was heart warming and inspiring.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you understand your needs. Outline what you are looking for with a hiring a professional. If there a specific services, or if you need full-services. Consultations are so important to understanding needs, organizations and results from that point.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
You will need to look at type of event, budget, attendance count, theme/color schemes, vendors, timeframe and timeline. This is a general scope but it's important to have some small details and the understanding of your event to give into the hands of a professional for assistance.
