Consultation and education are key! Often times, in busy salons, these steps get rushed or skipped. I feel that these two steps are what set me apart from other stylists. In my opinion, they are the most important parts of the entire appointment and therefore I give every guest a full consult and styling lesson every visit. This gives me a chance to really understand and calrify what you are asking for (want) so that we are both on the same page. Who wants a look that you didn't ask for? And, what good is it if you can't recreate it at home?
The absolute best part about the work I do is that I get to help make a difference in peoples everyday lives. From building confidence, to reapiring damaged hair, to making your beauty routine less complicated I love being a positive influence in my guests everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is key when it comes to seeing a new guest. Every guest of mine gets a consultation on each visit. However, when it comes to a new guest, the consultation is more in depth during the initial visit. We will talk about everything from your hair goals, likes/dislikes, lifestyle, maitenance, allergies/restrictions, your hair budget, to what is trending right now as well as construct a plan to get your hair where you want it to be. After all that is chatted about and the services are complete, I will teach you everything you need to know in order to style your hair at home and get the look you want on a day to day basis. I guarantee you will leave with all your questions answered!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do your research on the stylist and make sure the credentials are there. Also, look for their work on social media.
