About
I am a 22 year old licensed cosmetologist and owner of Sequoia Hair Garden & Beauty Lounge. I have been braiding hair for 12 years (yes I have had clients since I was 10) I worked in two salons and finally decided to get my own salon suite in Oak Forest. I take pride in my work and I am extremely passionvate about hair growth. The focus of my salon is to make your hair look fabulous and ensure that you have strong healthy roots like a Sequoia tree and that your hair grows and flourishes like beautiful plants in a garden. When you have healthy beautiful hair you look and feel good.
I enjoy seeing the smile on my client's face when they are pleased with their hair. I enjoy working hair miracles and restoring hair to a healthy and beautiful state.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All new customers are required to fill out a customer information sheet which allows me to keep you updated on special services as well as offering Birthday specials. It's also standard that I give all my clients proper consultations which will help me figure out of your hair is damaged and will allow us to come to an agreement on which products work best on your hair.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my license in cosmetology. I also hold four certifications for Keratin Treatments, Braid and extensions, Hair Sculpting and Design, and Hair Coloring. I received extensive training for each category that I'm certified in.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing for each style is based on an hourly rate and varies for each style. (Ex. Braids, Sew ins, thermal styles, Hair Color)
How did you get started in this business?
I have been taking hair clients since age 10. I started off braiding for $25 per head. By the age of 16 I started working in a salon doing braids and extensions (unlicensed.) After 4 years of working in a salon I decided to get my hair license so I could be able to cut hair and perform chemical services as well as earn a better income. I have always been passionate about doing hair since I was 10 and am glad that I can make money doing what I love.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have experience with clients from all ethnic backgrounds and am skilled with all hair textures.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Think seriously about your hair goals and ask yourself if you're truly willing to invest in your hair.
