About
At the age of 17, photography was not a discipline with which I was remotely familiar. After entering the Art Institute of Chicago at age 17 on a four-year scholarship for painting and drawing, my advisor suggested I expand my proficiencies and investigate a new visual media. He recommended photography! I purchased my first camera for $5 at the State Street Kresge's Department Store in downtown Chicago. It was a plastic rangefinder that needed 2 1/4 X 2 1/4 film. This was the beginning of a lifelong passion for photographic exploration, experimentation and enjoyment!
As of 2004, 34 years later, I am a retired Art Director/Artist of 38 years. Photography was m major area of concentration-teaching and managing photo programs at both the high school and college level. I am now a professional photographer located in Lombard, IL, specializing in portraits (individual, family, children, maternity) and weddings. Other image solutions offered in my work include: copy work, photo documentation of artist's artwork (2D & 3D), photo restoration and pet photos. I am still teaching individuals and small groups at my studio in Lombard.
