KC Tings
About
I've been practicing makeup since 2015 & I love it dearly. I've never been more passionate about doing anything since I've gotten into makeup. I dabbled through makeup when I was 18 on and off through the years but wasn't consistent with it. Shortly after I logged onto YouTube in 2015 watching Natural hair videos, I began watching makeup tutorials. Since then, I never stopped or have gotten tired of doing makeup. I plan on one day having my own beauty shop because it's absolute therapy to me. I love making people look and feel the most beautiful. If you'd like to see some of the work I've done on myself, please go to my Instagram page KChenault1. I also have a YouTube page in the making and it's called KC Tingz. Thank you so much and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my story and I hope to work with you soon.
I enjoy the creativity in it because it's art. It's soothing and calming to me and I love seeing my clients light up after an successful makeup application.

How did you get started in this business?
In 2015 when I started studying and exploring the art in it, I loved the outcome of it and started practicing on myself and others. When I would get paid, I would invest in buying the basics of what I needed to get started. I setup an in house mini shop to start building my clientele. But then Covid hit so I put a hold on it and now travel to my clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
So far I've worked with my family and other people I ask to practice on.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Last year, I participated in doing a friends best friend bridal makeup. It was a neutral look and had so much fun doing it and she enjoyed her makeup and lashes.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give a customer while looking for a pro in my area is to try to determine how dedicated they are with their craft of work. Find out their sanitary habits as far as brush cleaning and other materials. Lastly, how professional the artist is and the reviews from other customers.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I would consider asking questions whether or not if they can work with various skin types. Also consider asking what if the customer is allergic to a specific type of makeup brush or type of chemical in makeup. Another question is to ask them what form of makeup do that artist specialize in.
