How did you get started in this business?
I was trained with Candid Color Systems and after a dozen years of working with them, I chose to take the scary step into small business ownership. I have never regretted creating RedRock Photography, I love what I do.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I really could say. . . you name it. Having been a photographer for 25 years.
From legal firms to performers to dance squads to families and their babies.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy working with charity fundraisers.
I recently was part of the Emergency Vet Services "Paws it Forward" campaign. I took mini photo sessions of the canines and their families, with the charity keeping al the session for the fundraiser. Then the families could purchase HD download images of their favs for only $5 each.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do they know how to pose? This sounds odd but many photographers seem to not know this. It is so important to understand angles and posing that will make a person look their absolute best in a portrait.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What does a photographers review say? Do their galleries really show images that relate to what you are looking for?
