I started in the business by assisting fashion photographers, culling photos for catalog jobs, helping on set. I began my own business when I started my family, it was a fruitful year! Now I am 20 years in the business, and I love it more than ever. I'm great at helping people feel relaxed in front of my camera, it's because I really love meeting people and finding out about them, and EVERYONE is beautiful to me.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My immediate concern is making sure the client is comfortable. Once the client is comfortable, we begin the session. I make sure to keep the client chatting and happy and distracted, so that the photos are natural, light, and beautiful.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a model when I was younger and spent many hours on sets, from commercial television to stills, catalog jobs to runway. I began to assist the photograpehrs that I worked for, sometimes culling catalog jobs where you'd have 500 images of the same thing and have to pick the best- that is how I developed my eye. It was really an old fashioned apprenticeship. And I've been working on my own, full time, as lead photographer in my company, for twenty years now.
