David John Correia is a skilled photographer, capable in both studio and location settings.
While at Boston University, he studied with Stephen Frank and Harrison Smith adapting his Photojournalistic style of photography. David was the first student hired by the Boston University Photo Service while a student at BU. Working with Anthony Moscatello and Cal & Kerry Zabarsky learnt to love work as a photographer.
Early in his career, David was the Photographic Supervisor for Olan Mills Portrait Studios. He trained photographers in lighting, posing and large format camera for thirteen high-volume studios in the Southern New England area. For seven years consecutively, David and his photographers earned Photographic Quality awards for their portraits of infants, children, adults and families.
Atlantic Records offered David shooting gigs in Greater Boston alwhile he was learning the ropes of wedding photography at Westwood Studios.
David opened Studio One (Rockland) with fellow photographer, Brian Malloy and became a 4th Floor Artist. Weddings by David was soon to follow and enjoyed a 30 years of success working principally with the Coonamessett Inn, the Flying Bridge, Ballymeade Country Club and other Falmouth, Cape Cod wedding locations.
David currently resides on Cape Cod and is actively photographing and making images for advertisement, company branding, real estate, families and businesses throughout New England.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts simply with a phone call to discuss the photography need. We will talk about the setting, whether it would be best to shoot in a studio or on location. We would then pick a mood, lighting and possible posings to come up with a plan for a series of images.
Next we would schedule the session and client then makes arrangements for hair and makeup as needed.
At the session, David will assist the client with wardrobe selection, create natural poses and conduct the session as previously discussed.
