Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen to what they are looking for. I add ideas on how to go about a project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA degree in art and photography. I have taken several professional workshops, study on line classes. I like to stay on cutting edge.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I quote on request. I work with a budget and offer creative options. For example, I phoyographed a group of professionals at an office, set up portable studio on site. I offered a low price on a portrait session since there were many in the group- the package included everything with retouching.
How did you get started in this business?
I started photography in 7th grade. I found I could sell art prints, and later I was hired to photograph events during high school. I was winning photo contests too.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types of people, including famous actors, Senators and congress men, Generals, writers, business people, families and children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Just phoyographed a college president. I showed him some of mu off beat creative work and was asked to do one of theses wild portraits.
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Look at the photographers work. Experience, education and knowledge of the craft is important. Does the photographer have skills besides pressing the shutter- such as photoshop, printing, problem solving. Does the final result., in portraits for example, include retouching or is the final result a batch of proofs?
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
It is best to talk than text. Ask about the style the photographer uses. See if they are offering what you want.
