Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Open communication. Talking about what the client is looking for. Looking at photos/examples. Doing everything I can to understand and interpret my clients wants and needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Cosmetology School at Empire Beauty School in Harrisburg, PA
Make up Artistry at EI Professional School of Makeup in Hollywood, CA
How did you get started in this business?
I started dabbling in hair and makeup on myself and others in highschool. That pushed me to start this with my Cosmetology degree.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I'll work with anyone and everyone! I've worked on films, photo shoots, and special events like weddings.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently worked for WWE, The Bump as a special effects artist on one of the talent in which I made him look like a human-like goat. That was so much fun. While I was there, I also did the hair of one of the female talent to add to her halloween look.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. ^_^
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about your surroundings that your makeup will be shown in: the lighting, the weather, the camera, your skin, etc.
Again, do not be afraid to ask any questions you may have.
