About
Hair has always been my passion. I cant think of anything else I would rather do and I love it so much I would do it for free. Ive been in my industry for 27 years, 20 1/2 of those in Bowie, MD. Ive had alot of my clients more than 15 years. One thing that is important to me is that we communicate, consult and educate my clients in their hair and hair care needs. As a woman gets older, needs change, lifestyle changes and I’m here to help her thru making the best decision for her hair. I make sure to continue my education every chance I get. Its important to me that my clients are happy with their service and I do follow up calls/texts. You can find me on Facebook as Delmy Marable and Hair by Delmy. I’m located in Bowie Marketplace @Salontra Select Suites in Bowie, MD
I love seeing my clients happy with their service/experience and being able to be creative. You can check out some of my work on Facebook: pages: Delmy Marable and Hair by Delmy

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get an idea about what the client is looking for before we proceed with service. It helps me to understand what they are happy and unhappy about when it comes to their hair. Also, it helps to know if they’re on medications, what their lifestyle is, what their hair needs are and which products are best for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Cosmetologist license (which is the highest u can get), I’ve had certifications in different services and product lines. I constantly continue my education.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on level of work and time. It’s best to do a consultation
How did you get started in this business?
I got started in the beauty industry because it is my passion since I was 13. I went to beauty school and graduated on time and at the top of my class. I passed the state theory and practical test on the FIRST try. I’ve been happily doing hair for 28 years now.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have serviced all hair types, different races, mixed races. Women, men and kids
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
If you see someone’s hair that you like, ask them where/who they go to!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They should look at pics to decide what they want, be sure that it’s what you want and keep in mind your lifestyle and the level of commitment you’re willing to have in order to keep the look you’re going for.
